Alzheimer's Foundation of America: How to Make Meaningful Moments

After presenting at a Spring Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Caregiving panel, the organization asked if I would write a piece about making moments more meaningful for loved ones and caregivers to someone living with dementia.

Obviously, I couldn’t say no, so I wrote about how to play with your perspective a little, how to transition away from clinical milestones and transform the experience into one full of meaning, not misery.

Full disclosure, the article is far more optimistic than I tend to be when it comes to, well, most things. But the sentiment is true: You really can make a lot of happy moments out of a bad situation, even after almost a decade of loss.
